The Pivot team took their time with the all-new Phoenix Downhill mountain bike. Undergoing extensive testing, tweaking and re-testing only to then be put through it's paces by Bernard Kerr to squeeze every last tenth of a second from the trails. Manufactured to Pivot's exemplary standards this glorious carbon framed Phoenix is your buddy for many furious trail runs, and lets be honest, have you ever seen a better looking bike?
Immediately catching the eye will be the mid-high pivot, six bar DW-Link suspension and the dual-chain, dual idler.
The DW-Link delivers outstanding performance from the Phoenix's available 210mm travel. Sublime levels of grip, control and stability with anti-squat engineered to maintain efficient power transfer and keep the suspensions performance predictable and reactive over challenging terrain.
The dual-chain drive keeps things running super-smooth, quiet and with virtually zero pedal kickback, this set-up is the equivalent to a 37t front chainring. This system is also very easy to maintain.
The Phoenix is adjustable to trail demands via a flip-chip and reach adjust headset. The flip-chip's 2 settings are 'high', based on Bernard Kerr's preferred set-up and is suited to rocky, technical courses, or 'low' for maximum speed and ultimate control. The +5mm/-5mm headset further allows for fine tuning the bike to your needs.
The Phoenix is available in 2 beastly build kits, both spec'd with MX wheel sizing, 29" front and 27.5" rear
